Postpartum Consultations

Comprehensive Lactation Visit
for Newborns & Beyond
Feeding challenges can come up at any stage and it can feel destabilizing. During a comprehensive in-person visit, I’ll assess what’s happening, answer your questions, and help you create a personalized plan that gets you and your little one back on track.
*Virtual visits can be helpful, but they do have limitations.
Without a weighted feed or full physical assessment, we might miss important clues.
While in-person visits offer a more complete assessment, I’m happy to support you virtually if that feels like the best fit.
If we need more information, we can always explore an in-person visit later.

What does a consultation look like?
Before Your Appointment
- Book your appointment via my secure booking link. (If you can't find an appointment time that works for you, feel free to reach out by phone or email.)
- Intake forms will be emailed to you to complete prior to our appointment. This is where you will share about your medical and social history and briefly share your story so I can provide the best, informed care you deserve.
During Your Appointment
- In person consults are uniquely tailored to the concerns you bring, but may include a latch assessment, latch and positioning adjustment, pre- and post- feeding weights to see how much baby is drinking from each breast, oral and physical assessment of baby and physical assessment of your breast/chest. Concerns and questions will be unpacked and we will formulate a plan together based on your goals.
After Your Appointment
- An in-depth, written care plan will emailed to you within 24 hours of your visit.
- I will send reports of our visit to both your baby's and your own healthcare providers (obstetrics, midwifery, pediatrics, bodyworkers, tie-release providers, etc).
- You'll be entitled to 2 weeks of follow up through our secure messaging portal to continue with your care plan, as needed.
