Prenatal Lactation Consult

You want to give your baby the best possible start—but with so much conflicting information out there, it’s hard to know what to expect. It’s natural to feel uncertain about how things will go when your baby arrives, and not all birth places are equal when it comes to providing evidence-based lactation support. The truth is, those first minutes, hours, and days after birth lay some of the strongest foundations for breastfeeding. Feeling prepared and having a plan in place can make all the difference.
I’m here to guide you.
In our personalized prenatal (or induced lactation) consultation, we’ll review your health history, discuss your goals, and create a plan designed for your unique journey. You’ll gain clarity and confidence with practical guidance on:
- Positioning and latch for a comfortable, effective feeding experience.
- Recognizing your baby’s hunger cues and ensuring they’re getting enough milk.
- Managing engorgement, breast & nipple care to keep you feeling your best.
- Pumping, hand expression, and bottle feeding—whether for convenience or necessity.
- Navigating diet & medications that support your breastfeeding journey.
- Building and maintaining your milk supply with practical, personalized strategies.
- And more!
If you’re adopting or a non-birthing parent seeking to induce lactation, I’ll walk you through your options and help you craft a plan that works best for your goals and the realities of your everyday life. You don’t have to figure this out alone.
Let’s work together to empower you for a thriving future with your baby.
