I am delighted to announce that through a partnership with Lactation Consultants of America, I have begun taking insurance as of September 2025. Every parent deserves access to quality lactation care, and I am excited to be able to offer this benefit to allow more families to get the support they need!
The insurance companies above offer several plans that I am in network with. This is not a comprehensive or guaranteed list, and if you do not see your insurance plan listed, it is still worth reaching out as you might still have coverage.
As you may be aware, the landscape of insurance coverage in our country is constantly shifting and changing, and I cannot guarantee coverage, but LCA (Lactation Consultants of America) has a robust system for checking individual plans, and once a plan is checked, it’s very safe to bet that you will have coverage, either in part or in whole, with minimal cost-sharing.
For fastest assurance, you may contact your own insurance company to verify your benefits. To do this, call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask this question:
“Do I have in-network coverage for lactation services under CPT code S9443 (lactation class) with diagnosis Z39.1, billed as professional services (not facility)?”
Ask for a call reference number – this helps hold the plan accountable. If you’re unsure or the patient representative is confused, you can reach out for help to me at ellen@nourishingpathwayslactation.com or contact Patient Relations at patient.relations@lcsofamerica.com. Please expect 2-3 business days for a lactation coverage check.
If you’d rather have me do the insurance check for you, you can complete this form to begin the process. See my Insurance Coverage, Fees & Service Areas page for more details.
If you have questions or would like clarification, feel free to reach out to me directly by texting or calling at 315-217-1117.
